Our Public Roadmap
Transparency is a core principle at CloakID. In that spirit, we share what we are working on now and the direction we are heading. We describe features by the benefit they aim to deliver — and we only mark something as available when it actually is.
Please note: This is a living document. Priorities and direction can change based on what we learn and, most importantly, on feedback from our pilot users.
Where We Are Now: Private Design-Partner Pilot
CloakID today is a browser extension paired with a secure processing gateway in the EU, in a private design-partner pilot — a small, invited group using the product in daily browsing and shaping it with direct feedback.
What the current product does:
- Anti-fingerprinting via a common persona: instead of a unique fingerprint — or an obviously randomized one — your browser presents a common, consistent persona derived from real-world data, so you blend into a crowd.
- Explicit, per-site protection: protection is applied on supported sites; on unsupported sites the extension tells you so instead of pretending.
- Visible protection state: the extension shows the real status of the page you are on — protected, partially protected, or not protected.
This phase is dedicated to validating that the core product is reliable and useful in real daily use before any wider release.
In Development and Exploration
The following describes the direction we are working toward. Everything here is in development or under exploration — not available today, and we describe benefits rather than promising dates or outcomes.

Growing the set of sites where CloakID protection applies, prioritized by what our pilot users actually browse.

Making it even clearer, at a glance, what is and is not protected on the page you are on.
🔮 Team and enterprise controls (exploration)
A longer-term vision for organizations: shared policy, auditability, and administrative control over protection across a team.
🔮 “State of Fingerprinting” briefing (exploration)
A periodic report on fingerprinting techniques we observe in our measurement work, for readers who want to understand the tracking landscape.
🔮 European data sovereignty (exploration)
Deepening our EU-hosted, GDPR-first posture into a fuller data-residency story for privacy-conscious users and organizations. The advantage is already real today: no law requires us to keep your connection or browsing data — and data that was never kept cannot be handed over later.
How We Prioritize
Our roadmap is driven by three principles:
- Honesty first: We only claim what the product verifiably does; everything else is labeled as in development or exploration
- Pilot feedback: Input from our design partners directly drives what we build next
- Real-world validation: Features ship when they work in daily use, not before
